Our research focus on studying the inner works of muscles – how they work and lead to diseases using human and wild animal models.

We are proud of our collaborators and without their expertise, this lab will not function. Our lab does contain state-of-the art technologies that measure muscle performance, its metabolism and structure on macro and single cellular level.

PROJECTS
We can divide our research fields into four main categories, each with unique projects answering specific questions. These are: Nature or Nurture; Obesity, lifestyle and insulin resistance; Muscle weakness and Exercise-induced muscle pathologies.
